We hope to use the film as a tool to spread awareness amongst audiences in India about such accidental poisonings that have occurred before and since we made this film.
Additionally, we are fundraising for our young cast members to have access to quality education and food security during this difficult time.
SUPPORT THE CAUSE
There is still a severe lack of food safety measures and accountability and oversight at all levels when executing the mid-day meal scheme by the central government in India.
We want to utilize the film’s success and reach to highlight the consequences of this lack of accountability, which often has a disproportionate and devastating impact on rural communities like the one portrayed in the film. If you are an organization that can help us raise awareness about food security for children in rural India, please contact the filmmakers using the link below.
GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
We made this film with a unique group of children and their families. Our secondary fundraising goal is to give back to the community that helped us make the film.
We are seeking partnerships with local NGOs to provide our child actors access to quality education opportunities. Reach out to us for more details.
